Ashton's Journey
Born prematurely at 24 weeks, Ashton spent his first 303 days in the hospital before finally coming home — trach and g-tube in place, requiring round-the-clock expert care. When few home health agencies had nurses available, Truly Pediatric Home Care stepped in.
For over three years, Ashton's nursing team has provided not just medical care, but unwavering love and encouragement. From rolling over to walking, speaking his first words, and now starting preschool — his nurses have been by his side every step of the way.

Meet Our Founder
Marchelle Hopson,
RN & Director of Nursing
“I saw families desperate for skilled home nursing care for their children—and a system that kept failing them. I founded Truly Pediatric to close that gap.”
After nearly two decades working as a nurse across multiple care settings, Marchelle witnessed firsthand the critical shortage of in-home nursing care for children with complex medical needs across Ohio. Families were left without consistent, qualified support for children who required ventilator management, tracheostomy care, and continuous skilled nursing in the home.
In 2022, Marchelle founded Truly Pediatric Home Care, LLC to bridge that gap. Under her clinical leadership as Director of Nursing, the agency has grown into a CHAP-accredited, MBE and WBE-certified organization committed to serving the region’s most vulnerable pediatric patients and their families.
Marchelle remains an active advocate for Medicaid Waiver programs and fair reimbursement rates, meeting with legislators directly to fight for the families and children Truly Pediatric serves every day.

We specialize in children with complex medical needs including ventilator management, tracheostomy care, g-tube/j-tube feeds, oxygen dependency, seizure disorders, and other conditions requiring continuous skilled nursing supervision in the home.
Yes. We accept Ohio Medicaid Waiver programs, commercial insurance (including United Healthcare, Anthem, and others), and private pay. If you're unsure whether your child's coverage applies, call us at (937) 397-3600 and we'll walk you through the process at no cost.
We serve families across the state of Ohio. Our team is based in the Dayton area but we work with families statewide. Contact us to confirm coverage in your county.
Getting started is simple: (1) Call or email us to discuss your child's needs. (2) We'll complete an intake and review your child's care plan with the referring physician. (3) We match your family with the right nurse and begin care. Most families are enrolled within a few business days of contact.
All clinical staff are licensed Ohio RNs or LPNs with experience in pediatric or complex care settings. Every nurse undergoes thorough vetting, background checks, and agency orientation before being placed with a family. Our Director of Nursing, Marchelle Hopson RN, oversees clinical standards personally.
Yes. We hold full accreditation through CHAP (Community Health Accreditation Partner) — one of the most rigorous national standards for home health agencies. We are also a certified Ohio Department of Medicaid & Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) provider, and are certified as an Ohio MBE (Minority Business Enterprise) and WBE (Women-Owned Business Enterprise).
